Principle of trans-national cooperation enables to benefit from experiences and observations from different countries involved in the Community Initiative EQUAL. Trans-national cooperation represents important component in finding innovative solutions to mentioned problems. Individual Development Partnerships supported by the program cooperate on resolving problems related to discrimination and inequality on the labour market with DPs supported by CIP EQUAL programmes in other European countries. Trans-national cooperation principle is ensured through Trans-national Cooperation Agreements, which are signed by DPs from different EU member states, as well as some non-member states (for example the Czech Republic had a chance to get involved in the first round of the programme through aid within Phare before joining the EU). The principle of trans-national cooperation on the highest level of Community Initiative EQUAL is ensured through European theme networks and events held by EC in cooperation with the EU member states.
