Main objective of the project is to increase employability of blind and partially sighted people. Employability of people with changed working ability has long been one of the thorniest problems.
Objective of the project is to integrate blind and partially sighted people into society and labour market by finding suitable jobs, which would allow them to realize their potential and develop themselves like everybody else. One of the main problems the visually impaired people face when searching for a job is insufficient qualification. Only 40 % of blind and partially sighted graduated from high school. Another problem is reluctance of employers to hire such people. The target group still faces prejudice from the employers, who are not acquainted with the issues related to employment of visually impaired people and don´t know, what activities are such handicapped people able to carry out. Above-mentioned problems result in unemployment of the visually impaired people sometimes reaching up to 70 %. These aspects show the necessity is to tackle the problem of employability and unemployment of blind and partially sighted people.
Goal of this project is to facilitate entry and re-entry of blind, partially sighted people and combined impaired people into the labour market.
The structure of the Development Partnership is creating the integrated system giving the guarantee for the set aims accomplishment and project intent.
